Devin Townsend has had an insanely productive quarantine. Townsend launched his Quarantine Project, started a podcast where he's explaining all his previous albums, and even played three concerts from home to benefit various health organizations. Now he's working on the follow-up to Empath.
Townsend said inspiration has struck and he's begun writing a new album, though there's still "lots of material to accumulate." Last we heard about a new Devin Townsend album was back in October 2019 when he said he'd likely be recording in 2021. Though that was before the whole world ground to halt. So here's hoping there's a new Devin Townsend record sooner rather than later, right?
