WITHERED Brings The Steady, Funeral-March Sounding Doom With "Feeble Grasp"

Primitive Man's vocalist now fronts the group.

Primitive Man's vocalist now fronts the group.

Believe it or not, it has been six years since Withered put out its best album to date, Dualitas. Between then and now, the band has lost vocalist and guitarist Chris Freeman and gained Primitive Man/ex-Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire guitarist and vocalist Ethan McCarthy. So I guess things worked out pretty well, huh?

The band's new song 'Feeble Grasp" is far from being feeble, as well. The song is more like a stone-firm grip on your throat as it holds you under the water until the bubbles stop. Which is a joyous image, and probably why the cover of Grief Relic will make you uncomfortable when it comes out on May 27 via Season of Mist.
