Tommy Lee Said MOTLEY CRUE Summer Stadium Tour "Still A Go"

But who knows if that's even true, once the time comes around.

Tommy Lee was interviewed by Billboard magazine last Wednesday, April 1st, and said that Motley Crue's scheduled reunion tour this summer is "still a go."

It should be noted that all stadiums are currently closed under presidential order, and US President Trump himself had a meeting with sports commissioners saying that he's optimistic that arenas and stadiums can reopen sometime in August. Motley Crue's Stadium tour is scheduled to kick off June 18 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Lee tells Billboard that the band is working as if everything is going to move forward: “Everything’s still a go We’re all in constant communication. [Bassist] Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you f–king kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”

He adds, “By the time all this f–king apocalyptic bulls–t is over, I think everyone’s going to be in a really good mood to go out and have the f–king best time ever. I really do. I hope everyone stays inside, and we can get a f–king grip on this and get back to people having their normal lives.”

Lee also tells Billboard it's been challenging coming up with a trademark drum kit stunt, something that he has made famous at Crue shows. Read the whole interview here.

Lee's bandmate, Vince Neil, has been training in his home gym for the shows this summer.

Ultimately, it's too soon to say if the shows will happen or not, because who knows where the world will even be a month from now, let alone two months from now? But some folks in the music scene are bracing for the idea that no shows will logistically happen until 2021.
