While it hasn't been confirmed explicitly by either party, it sure as hell looks like Pokemon has modeled a new monster after Kiss frontman Gene Simmons. Simmons hasn't yet commented on the matter, but has told Newsweek that Pokemon has certainly been a presence in his household over the years. The folks in charge of Pokemon have not yet commented on the matter.
"Pokémon has been a part of our household for decades, ever since our kids first discovered them. And to see Pokémon pay homage to KISS, is flattering."
