SLIPKNOT Are Talking About Playing We Are Not Your Kind In Its Entirety

Posted by on September 11, 2019 at 2:14 pm

Slipknot have recently wrapped up a massive tour in support of their latest release, We Are Not Your Kind, but are already discussing their future plans in the press. Just yesterday we reported that drummer Jay Weinberg is talking about new writing sessions, and today we're hearing about the band's possible future tour plans, and it sounds fun!

In a recent interview with Philadelphia radio station 93.3 WMMR, guitarist Jim Root revealed the band has been discussing performing the new album in its entirety:

“Clown’s talking about [the 25th anniversary of the band]… I don’t know if we’re going to play a record live. We did that with Iowa [20th anniversary] at Knotfest and it was cool. We have been talking about maybe trying to find some way to play the new album in its entirety, from top to bottom. I would like to do that – I think that would be something really cool. And do it in a really toned down, stripped down, no big stage set, club atmosphere type of thing. I’d love to do something like that and maybe webcast it.”

The idea of Slipknot performing stripped down smaller stages would be huge with any setlist, but of course backed with their latest best selling album, the idea just seems unstoppable!

For now the band will continue on course to support We Are Not Your Kind through out the world, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens in 2020.
