JOB FOR A COWBOY To Enter The Studio This Fall, Explain Long Absence

The band is ready to get back together!

Starting late last year, Job for a Cowboy began teasing what we all assumed was a comeback, and now it's been confirmed. The band have been working on new material "on and off" for three years, and are finally ready to lay down some new tracks.

Job For A Cowboy frontman Jonny Davy confirmed to our friends at MetalSucks that the band plans on entering the studio in either October or November. As we learned a few months back, they should've already been recording the album, but then the pandemic happened.

Explaining why it took the band so long, Davy says it was a combination of burn out and personal life priorities. Guitarist Tony Sannicandro worked on his medical degree and Davy ended up having two kids. But it was working on their side project, Serpent of Gnosis, is what ultimately got them to start thinking about new JFAC. “We talked about [JFAC] here and there [before that] but I think once we got in the groove again [with Serpent], we got excited about doing another [JFAC] record.” Davy added the side project “was the catalyst of everything.”

For more details on the band's return, and how surprised they were with fans remembering them and getting hyped, head over to MetalSucks.
