Guns N' Roses superfan Rick Dunsford attempted to catch Guns N' Roses' at their Wichita, KS show in October 2019, only to find out he'd received a lifetime ban from seeing the band.

The ban stemmed Dunsford's purchase of 19 discs-worth of unreleased material from the Chinese Democracy sessions, which he bought from a storage unit auction of ex-Universal Music Group (UMG) A&R man Tom Zutaut for $15,000.

Universal Music Group at the time claimed the demos were being leaked and they suspected Dunsford. Now it's gotten a bit worse.

According to TMZ, UMG has hit Dunsford with a cease and desist claiming he "violated an earlier settlement agreement in which UMG paid him $15,000 to return the recordings." UMG alleges Dunsford leaked the demos one month after they paid him. A representative for Guns N' Roses told TMZ they're not sure they demos were ever part of the storage unit sale in the first place.

"It is tremendously disappointing, sad, and unfortunate that a record executive involved with the band in their early years found it appropriate to auction off the unreleased materials owned by his former employer."

Dunsford has since claimed someone else is leaking the music.
