Lock Up drummer Nicholas Barker (ex-Cradle of Filth, ex-Dimmu Borgir) recently announced his departure from the band, simply saying he's not feeling it anymore.

"After 'not feeling it' for a considerable amount of time and pondering my future within the ranks of the band,I've decided to call it a quits with Lock Up! There's no bad blood or ill feeling in any way, those guys are my brothers and I wish them well.

I have a couple of new musical endeavours in the pipeline that will come to light when the time is right. Id like to take this opportunity to thank my ex-band mates and all the fans around the world for their support over the course of 20+ years I served as drummer in the band…

Much love to you all."

In his place is now Adam Jarvis, whose name you know from bands like Misery Index and Pig Destroyer. Lock Up also consists of bassist Shane Embury (Napalm Death, Tronos, Bent Sea), guitarist Anton Reisenegger (Brujeria), and vocalist Kevin Sharp (Venomous Concept, ex-Brutal Truth).

Here's what both Embury and Jarvis had to say about the new lineup.

Embury: "We are extremely thrilled to welcome Adam into the ranks of Lock Up ! I have known Adam for a few years now and we just recently finished a European tour together – a super nice guy and killer skin beater… Lock up has always been a rollercoaster of a ride since it’s inception way back in 1998 but Adam joining us now in these chaotic times i believe is surely going to refuel this seasoned grind machine … Play Fast or Die !!!"

Jarvis: "Im honored to be included in this killer line-up of incredibly talented musicians. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing these amazing dudes for over ten years and can’t wait to collaborate on some vicious new tunes! I have the utmost respect for Nick Barker and it won’t be easy to fill his shoes, but I’m up for the challenge. GRIND!!!"
