Confirmed: SCOTT STAPP To Replace SCOTT WEILAND (But Not In STONE TEMPLE PILOTS)

Our short national nightmare is over.

Our short national nightmare is over.

Our short national nightmare is over. Yesterday, audio surfaced of Scott Stapp saying he was joining a very prominent band. When the interviewers pressed if he was joining Stone Temple Pilots, he would not confirm nor deny, leading many to assume he was confirming. Stone Temple Pilots quickly went public denying they have or had anything to do with Scott Stapp, leaving us scratching our heads.

Well, turns out Stapp is replacing Weiland after all, but in the "supergroup" Art of Anarchy. Fooled us! The band just made it official via Facebook:

Art of Anarchy started off on a very controversial foot… the day after the band released it's first single, Scott Weiland announced he was not in the band anymore, even though they had a music video and everything. Ultimately, the band has been rather inactive since it's lead singer wanted nothing to do with the band.

But now, it looks like we'll be hearing more from these guys. By the way, the band also features ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Distubed bassist John Moyer, and then guitarist Jon Votta and drummer Vince Votta.
