7 Tunes in the Perfect Playlist for a Night in Vegas

What is a Vegas party without music? There is no shortage of songs about the gambler’s luck or lack of it.  The good folks at  think these songs should be on your playlist.  Roll the dice  or keep your poker face, and turn up the volume to this;

#1 I’m Bad I’m Nationwide by ZZ Top 

This is the perfect tune to keep your adrenaline up on the trip to Vegas. It is full of bad-ass attitude, which you will need on the poker table. Sample this, 
“With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed, 
Nobody give me trouble 'cause they know I got it made.”

#2 Aces of Spades by Motorhead 

This is the perfect ode to the much sought after Ace of Spades. Motorhead captures the  gambler’s motto "you win some, lose some, it's all the same to me." There are other great lyrics to keep your gambling spirit strong. Sample this, “I know you want to see me, read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again."  It takes some listening to get the lyrics straight, but once you do,  you will want to keep it on repeat.

#3 The Gambler by Kenny Rogers 

This is the best advice that was given to a gambler if any. Even as a classic country song, these lyrics will never sound tired to the gambler,
“You've got to know when to hold 'em, 
Know when to fold 'em,  
Know when to walk away, 
And know when to run”

#4 Diamond Jack by Wishbone Ash 

The dark humor of the Brits and gung-ho attitude is captured in this song full of gambler jargon. It is a high-stakes poker themed song. The magical diamond jack  will show you the way,  as it is “black magical lady luck.” The  Ace of hearts is  worshipped as “the dream of every man.” The song  reminds you that  the  luck of the gambler only comes when “you have cast your dice, take your chances at they come, one by one.”

#5 Viva Las Vegas by Elvis Presley 

The 'King' was known for his legendary Luxury777 party life. He composed this number as a tribute to Sin City. The intro captures what has always pulled every gambler to Vegas,
“Got a whole lot of money that's ready to burn, 
So get those stakes up higher.”

#6 Shape of My Heart by Sting 

This is the soundtrack at the climax of the action flick Leon The Professional by Jean Reno and Natalie Portman. It is the ultimate ‘got nothing to lose’ attitude anthem. Some play not for the win but to make their mark. This is how the intro captures  it as the bullets fly or the game goes bust, 
“He doesn't play for the money he wins,
 He don't play for respect,
 He deals the cards to find the answer”

#7 That Was a Crazy Game of Poker by O.A.R.

There is something about poker that gets gamblers feeling musical. This is another tune that will console you when things go bad at the table. You lost, but that is not the end of  life,
