Tokyo's Pale is back with their first release in seven years and it's pretty substantial. Pale's new record Our Hearts In Your Heaven incorporates healthy does of blackgaze and post-metal with dashes of Full Of Hell-tinged noise, some blackened death metal, a little post-hardcore, and just a hint of beautiful melancholy where it fits. Obviously that sounds like a lot to take in all at once, but Our Hearts In Your Heaven does a great job of tying it all together. Especially the epic "Almost Transparent Blue" right in the middle of the record. What a journey.
