Slipknot will make their return to broadcast television on Jimmy Kimmel Live next Friday, May 17th. This will be the band's first performance since 2016, and definitely their first since the lawsuit was filed by percussionist Chris Fehn.
This announcement leads to so many questions:
Will Slipknot be performing "All Out Life," the single they released late last year or will they be performing an even newer track? Typically, Kimmel tapes two song performances, one for the show, and then a web exclusive, so we could be getting both?
Will this be the official debut of the new masks and new look for the upcoming new album, due August 9th, which hasn't gotten an official name yet?
If the above two end up being true, does that mean we would get that information even sooner than next Friday to get fans ready and psyched for the new album?
Is Chris Fehn going to be there? It seems unlikely, but if he's not there, will somebody be visible in his place?
All will be answered by next week, I guess. Not only is Slipknot promoting their new album, they are promoting a massive Knotfest Roadshow tour with Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth.
