Legendary Producer And Guitarist Steve Albini Wins $100,000 At A Poker Tournament
Steve Albini is the guitarist for Big Black and Shellac and whose production resume includes Nirvana, Neurosis, KEN Mode, Vitamin X, High On Fire, and basically everyone else under the sun. Steve Albini is also apparently a pretty good poker player. According to Pitchfork, Albini participated in the Seven Card Stud event for World Series Of Poker against 310 other player and ended up winning $105,629.
"I am ecstatic that a player as mediocre as me can outlast all of these better players and end up with a [World Series Of Poker gold bracelet]. There's still hope for everybody," he said of the win. Albini also wore a Cocaine Piss shirt to the event, because why not?
