There Was A Wayne's World Reunion At The Oscars Last Night

We're not worthy!!

We're not worthy!!

We've expressed so much love to Wayne's World, the 1992 film starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as two dudes who love to rock and rose to success with their cable access rock show. It was, in many ways, the basis of the invention of this very site.

So, I was incredibly enthused to see Mike and Dana up on stage last night at Hollywood's biggest night, getting a moment to shine at the 91st Academy Awards.

The duo were brought on stage to introduce Best Picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody. The link between the film and duo being that Wayne's World very much brought Queen back into the mainstream consciousness with that famous scene in the first film featuring the duo and their friends rocking out hard in a car to the song.

The duo came out to a standing ovation from Queen, which I think is an honor in and of itself:

Carey then recited Garth's famous line and Myers yes-anded him:

It was a really fun moment for rock fans, and me personally. Here's the entire video:

Queen kicked off the show with a performance that had all the celebrities rocking. Watch that here.
