Hi, what are you looking for?

Fuck Yes!

Dez from DEVILDRIVER & Mark from LAMB OF GOD Collaborating On New Project

I am loving all of this metal cross-pollination recently. First there was Greg of Dillinger and Max of Sepultura. Then, we heard Adam D was forming a metal all-star group with Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse and Shannon Lucas of Black Dahlia Murder. Now comes word, via their respective tweets that Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton is teaming up to jam with Dez Fafara of Devildriver.

Morton tweeted:

So, its still totally off the radar, but [Dez] and I have been writin a bunch of KILLER tunes! Not sure when or where it'll come to light.

Dez later elaborated on the tweet, explaining the musical style of the new project;

Yes, Mark Morton and I do have about 14 songs done or sketched out. It's been work in progress for over 4 years and no it doesn’t sound at all like [Devildriver] or [Lamb of God] and like Mark said, he himself does not know when or where it will see the light of day as it’s been a very PERSONAL work in progress. Mark is in full control of when or where it will be heard – except for our close friends that have been hearing it for years now. Hope this clarifies things

There you have it. These guys have written a bunch AND DON'T WANT YOU TO HEAR ANY OF IT UNTIL THEY'RE DAMN READY. With Devildriver touring like crazy right now, and Lamb of God wrapping up writing a new album (and gearing up to get back on the road in 2012) chances are we probably won't hear this collaboration for a while. But, we will sit patiently and wait it out because this sounds like it could be fun.
