A new report from Las Vegas officials sheds some light on the legendary Pantera/Hellyeah drummer's passing. No official cause of death has been revealed yet.

The metal community is still recovering from the news early last weekend that legendary Pantera/Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul passed away. He was only 54 years old, and reportedly died in his Las Vegas home.

While some reports listed that Vinnie died in his sleep, and that he had a massive heart attack, the official cause of death has not yet been determined. The Las Vegas Review-Journal issued a new report noting that local officials said that Vinnie's death "did not appear suspicious."

The report states that officers were dispatched to Vinnie's home and medical personnel were summoned. Vinnie was pronounced dead on the scene. The story notes homicide detectives were not called, indicating Vinnie was already "medically deceased."

Vinnie's body was turned over to the The Clark County coroner’s office and a spokesman said it would take several days before the official cause of death was determined.
