Triptykon will be playing a special Celtic Frost set at the Decibel Metal & Beer festival this winter and they're not quite off that kick just yet. Triptykon has now announced they'll play Roadburn 2019 alongside the the Dutch Metropole Orkest.
The band will play a trilogy of songs called "Requiem," which includes "Rex Irae" off Into The Pandemonium, "Winter" off Monotheist and a song called "Grave Eternal" that was previously unfinished.
“The three parts of the Requiem will be performed by Triptykon at Roadburn 2019, with full classical orchestration, congregated specifically for this occasion by Florian Magnus Maier, who is our esteemed classical collaborator and arranger in this project, and whose patience with me appears to be limitless. We feel very proud and deeply honoured to be joined in this endeavour by the renowned Dutch Metropole Orkest.”
Roadburn 2019 will be held between April 11 and April 14 at 013 in Tilburg, NET. This year's edition will be curated by At The Gates frontman Tomas Lindberg and will feature special sets from them, Sleep, Mono, Thou and way more. Check out the full lineup (so far) below.
