Triptykon took four years between Eparistera Daimones and Melana Chasmata, and the band didn't seem to lose the interest of just about anyone. So while we're only a little over a year out from the latter record, the band is already working on a new one! The downside (/kind of updside) is that there's no timeframe on when we'll hear the new record- it's all about whenever the band loves it.
Here's what Tom G. Warrior had to say to Metal Shop (below).
“I’ve been working on it for quite a while, and we’ll be working on it as a band later this year. But it needs to be a good album, we have set a very high standard for ourselves. So, we’ll release it when it’s ready. I can’t really give you a release date right now, but we’re working on it.”
So hey, at least there's a new Triptykon record in the works that the band really wants to be as awesome as its predecessors.
