Toontrack Releases Death Metal MIDI Pack by Dave McGraw of Cattle Decapitation

Directly following the announcement of their annual Metal Month coming in November — with a tease of The Rock Foundry, the upcoming raw drum sample library for Superior Drummer recorded by legendary producer Bob Rock — Swedish audio software manufacturers Toontrack have announced another necessary addition to any metal recording enthusiast’s collection: the Death Metal MIDI pack, a collection of drum grooves and fills performed by Cattle Decapitation drummer Dave McGraw.

Toontrack’s software is always of the highest quality, and we have no doubt their newest product will be too, joining previously released packages put together by the likes of Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) and Mario Duplantier (Gojira).

Here’s a bit more information about the new pack via Toontrack:

Today, Toontrack announced the Death Metal MIDI pack, a collection of drum grooves and fills performed by Cattle Decapitation drummer Dave McGraw. This marks the sixty-sixth individual title in Toontrack’s ever-growing line of drum MIDI and the first release of the company’s annual Metal Month campaign, launching today.

About the Death Metal MIDI pack

With extreme finesse and razor-sharp execution, drummer Dave McGraw steamrolls his way through this collection of MIDI like a battering ram. Handling drumming duties in the death metal band Cattle Decapitation, he’s obliged to master anything from the heaviest and most basic of backbeats to the utmost in technical prowess – something that goes to show in this pack. Expect the entire range, from bombastic and ultra-heavy to savage tempos, hammering bass drums and blistering fills. This is death metal drumming in its most raw and stark form, executed by a drummer at the vanguard of the international scene.
