Tony Iommi Doesn't See Bill Ward Returning BLACK SABBATH

Posted by on October 20, 2015 at 12:45 pm

After all the shit that's happened between Bill Ward and his former band Black Sabbath, it doesn't look like the relationship will be mended for the band's final tour next year. In a recent interview with Gigwise, guitarist Tony Iommi doesn't seem to the Ward will be back in the band one last time.

"No, to be honest. I don't know if that's gonna happen. But who knows? You never know."

Here's hoping the "who knows" portion comes true and Ward really does get one last crack at the band… because let's face it- these are old dudes. Isn't it kind of sad that they all can't go out one last time as a band before calling it quits? Obviously I don't know the circumstances, but it would just be cool to see amends be made.

Then after the tour they can hate each other until the reaper comes knocking. At least that'll be a somewhat private affair.

On a more positive note, Iommi didn't close the door on more Sabbath music saying "it could happen."

"We've got some tracks that we recorded before with [producer] Rick Rubin in L.A.," he replied. "When we did our last album [2013's '13'], we'd done 16 tracks, but we only put eight on the album, so there are tracks there that could possibly show their face at some point."
