LED ZEPPELIN "Heavily Favored" To Be Headlining 2019 Glastonbury Festival

Has anybody informed Robert Plant?

Here we go again – a new rumor of a Led Zeppelin reunion show. The rumor is the band will be one of the headliners of the UK's prestigious Glastonbury Festival in celebration of their 50th anniversary.

Classic Rock Magazine reports that odds-makers are heavily favoring Zep to be the top band on the bill, based on… some reissues?! Here's what Classic Rock is saying:

Bookmaker’s Betway say that Led Zeppelin are “clear favourites” to top the bill on the Pyramid Stage next year at 2/1, while Fleetwood Mac are currently sitting at 3/1.

Betway’s Alan Alger says: “Emily Eavis has previously spoken about her dream of getting Led Zeppelin to headline Glastonbury, and this year the odds suggest there’s a good chance of that becoming a reality at 2/1.

Led Zep have been reissuing a ton of material this year which is leading oddsmakers to assume they would be interested in rekindling their band.

It's basically the same thing that happened last October with rumors that the band was offered so much money they couldn't turn it down. Here's the thing, Robert Plant doesn't need any more money.

Speaking to The Telegraph in October, Plant made his stance pretty clear:

"You can't ever really go back," he said. "It's tough enough repeating yourself with something that's a year old, never mind forty-nine years old. I've got to keep moving."

I would be on the first plane to Glastonbury if a reunion was announced but I just don't see it happening. Plant doesn't want to do it.
