Update: Adam Jones has commented on this story on his Twitter page, saying it was all a goof. Original story follows.

Look, we've been through this for the last two years already. It's been eight years since TOOL released 10,000 Days, and anticipation for new music has reached a fever pitch.
Last summer, we were told that we'd get a new album in 2014. The band, minus frontman Maynard Kennan were in the studio since October working on new music. They were jamming as late as last month, until they had to take a break to kick off a string of west coast tour dates, which is happening now.
At the Portland, OR stop of the tour yesterday afternoon, Adam Jones allegedly told a CraveOnline "exclusive source" that the album is 100% done and should arrive later this year. Jones allegedly also promised different time signatures than the band's previous work. Crave writer Johnny Firecloud makes no elaboration on who this source is, it could just be a fan cold-emailing him.
I'm taking a believe it when I see it approach with this news. It's hard to believe that with the band being in the studio as late as a few months ago, that Maynard would be done writing and recording all his lyrics already. Maynard has said in the past, he comes in much later in the process to begin his writing and recording and I have a hard time believing that with all this time the band put into the music, that Maynard could just be done in a day or two.
I guess once we get an official confirmation, this news should be taken with a grain of salt.
