METALLICA Members Form New Band For One Night Only

They're called "The Wedding Band."

If you've seen Metallica live recently, you know there is a portion of their show where James and Lars take a little breather and that leaves guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo on stage to jam out on a cover. Here they are covering Prince, for example. Well, they have so much fun with the covers, they're doing a whole show.

Using the moniker "The Wedding Band," the duo recruited Ugly Kid Joe frontman Whitfield Crane and former Queens of the Stone Age/Danzig drummer Joey Castillo, for a one-night event at Ontario's Cosmopolitan Music Hall at Cosmo Music on Friday, July 26, 2019. The show happens during a break in the massive Metallica touring schedule.

The event promises "classic covers from bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and more." Tickets start at $200 or $300 for a VIP meet and Greet with Kirk before the show and there are only 200 tickets for this intimate event, so act fast. They go on sale June 27 and noon eastern time.
