Lorna Shore hasn't been having an easy go of things in the past few years with their lineup. The band lost bassist Gary Herrera in 2017, Tom Barber left to join Chelsea Grin in 2018 and was replaced by ex-Signs Of The Swarm vocalist CJ McCreery, and now guitarist Connor Deffley has departed.

According to the band, the split was amicable and they wish him all the best.

“Our brother Connor Deffley has stepped down from his position in Lorna Shore. We love him, and will miss him dearly. Without his contributions to the band over the past 5 years, the band would have not been able to accomplish all the beautiful memories we can look back on.

We want you all to wish him well and thank him for being apart of this family for half a decade. Best of luck with all your future endeavors Connor! We will see you soon ?”

Deffley agrees about things being amicable, and says it was just time for him to move on from the group

“As of today, I’m officially no longer a part of Lorna Shore. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but ultimately I feel that it’s time for me to pursue some other opportunities. The last five years have been an absolute blessing and I couldn’t be more proud of all we accomplished in that time.

I want to say thanks to all of the fans and life long friends I have made during my time with LS, but most importantly i want to say thanks to my brothers in the band. I wish them the best of luck with all their endeavors and can’t wait to see what the future of Lorna Shore brings.”

Deffley played with Lorna Shore since 2015.
