KORN Frontman Jonathan Davis' Wife, Deven Davis, Dead At 39

Sad news to end the week, where there has already been plenty of sadness. Jonathan Davis' estranged wife, Deven, has died. No cause of death has been revealed yet. The couple have been together for over 20 years, married in 2004 and have two children together, Pirate and Zeppelin (Jonathan also has a son from a previous marriage). Before settling into motherhood, Deven was an adult actress.

TMZ reports that Jonathan had filed for divorce in October, 2016 citing irreconcilable differences, although it seems they had made up since then.

However, TMZ reports that Jonathan filed "a domestic violence retraining order today — August 17, 2018," with a judge granting it and blocking any child custody or visitation rights for Deven. According to Jonathan, Deven was a drug addict, a struggle she had faced for 20 years. Jonathan noted her drug use was causing emotional harm to their kids.

TMZ also reports that Deven had been in a sober home recently but hadn't been seen in a week after leaving one day.

Earlier today, we posted an article about Korn's excesses 20 years ago. While Jonathan was able to escape them, it seems like his wife did not.

Our deepest condolences to the Davis family during this very difficult time.

Update: The Davis family has confirmed the death and asked for privacy at this time.

"The Davis family is brokenhearted over the devastating loss of Deven Davis. We ask that you respect their privacy — and the privacy of those close to the family — and allow them the space to mourn in private. We thank you for your love, understanding and prayers of support during this difficult time."
