In Flames have publicly made it known they've been working on a new record since at least October of last year, which is going to be important information in a few seconds.
The band took to Facebook on Wednesday (Feb. 26) for a "big announcement." That announcement was that they've cancelled all their summer shows… which is a weird thing to hype your fans about. Granted that's only a few festival dates, but still. The following day, the band posted the above picture with the hashtags #IF2014 and #SC.
My guess for the cancellations is that they're just trying to finish up the new record and get it out when they can and that #SC is the initials for the new record? That's the only thing that would make sense. That or the record will be out before this summer and they'll go on some type of huge tour in support of the new record instead of just doing some bigger festival shows. Nothing is clear, but we do know there will be a record and the band won't be playing out this summer as of right now.
One of the band's fans in the comments section on Facebook said #SC should stand for Second Clayman, which I'm holding out very minimal, dim hope that's what it is.
