Gojira got all dressed up for the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards, and I'm sure it was an honor to be nominated.
The band's recent album Magma was nominated for Best Rock Album, a huge accomplishment for the French band. It's not every day a metal band breaks through to the rock album. The nominees were:
California — Blink-182
Tell Me I’m Pretty — Cage The Elephant
Magma — Gojira
Death Of A Bachelor — Panic! At The Disco
Weezer — Weezer
Sadly, Gojira lost out to Cage The Elephant's Tell Me I’m Pretty.
The band was also nominated for "Best Metal Performance" for the song “Slivera,” but lost out to Megadeth.
