Going to Psycho Fest? Here's What Else You Can Do in Vegas

Posted by on June 12, 2019 at 6:47 am

The 2019 edition of Psycho Fest, in Las Vegas, promises to be legendary! The organizers promise amazing performances from the best of the best in metal, sludge, punk, doom, and more heavy genres we all love and appreciate.

Now, if at any point you find yourself in need of other types of entertainment, remember that you’re in Sin City, the one town where people really know how to party. And, just to give you a preview, here are some of the events and activities that may spice up the deal.

Show you Shouldn’t Miss

Cirque Du Soleil Representations

If you enjoy watching the best circus performers in the world give mouth-dropping representations, then you’re in the right place! Even more, Cirque Du Soleil’s representations in August 2019 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay resort, the very same that also hosts the Psycho Fest!

World-Class Concerts

If you’re looking for exquisite concerts, August is the month when the Park Theater at Park MGM hosts both Janet Jackson and Cher. True, they’re not exactly in the heavy genres, but their music is recognized all over the world. So, if you don’t want to participate, it can be a way to lure your partner or friend into Las Vegas!

Comedy Shows

Las Vegas has some of the best stand up comedians in the entire world, so if you want to laugh out loud, you may want to visit the permanent shows of Terry Fator (at the Mirage), Carrot Top, or the Blue Man Group (at the Luxor).

If these names don’t ring a bell, maybe names such as Ron White or Jim Jeffries will! These comedians are well-established and always bring something new to the game – and they’re going to be performing in Las Vegas in August 2019!

Casinos, Casinos, Casinos

There’s one thing we can all agree upon: if you go to Sin City, you can’t leave without placing a bet at the gambling tables or testing your luck with the roulette!

Still, given that Las Vegas is the world capital of betting, you may end up playing with well-trained gamblers. If this is a new experience, we’d encourage you to do a few training rounds. Sites like Casumo.com have live casino games on offer to get you into the atmosphere.

Of course, each casino offers a lot more than just gambling. Wherever you go there will be restaurants, special events (concerts, shows, representations) and other cool things to try. So, if you’re not the kind of person that enjoys the activity of gambling, you will always find something else to do.

Other Cool Things to Consider

If you’re in the mood for adventure, there are other ways to entertain yourself in Sin City!

For instance, there are companies that offer a helicopter tour of the city, during the night. The birds-eye view of a lit-up Las Vegas is incredible, and it will stay with you forever! If flying is not your thing, there are special buses that can take you and your friends on a night tour of the city.

On the other hand, you can even take day trips to tourist attractions that surround the Sin City (such as the Grand Canyon National Park or the Hoover Dam).

Another interesting attraction is the Antelope Canyon, where you’ll get to admire a view that’s unique in the world.

Las Vegas is a location where you don’t have the time to get bored! Even if you’re not into spending big money, you will always find something fun to do, so it’s worth trying the local attractions while you wait for the Psycho Fest to start (or while you recover after it ended).
