This has not been a good week for Gibson Guitars. The guitar makers known for their use of ebony and other scarce woods had a run in with U.S. authorities, when one of their warehouses were raided over concerns of illegally importing certain woods with federal agents saying the guitar company fraudulently labelled packages containing ebony and other rare woods which are not allowed to be exported due to their scarcity.
The whole ordeal seems like a bit of a mess, with people from Gibson stating that it was most likely a miscommunication from their Indian sellers, and not something they did willfully. Gibson are denying any wrong doing in the situation and feel they are being treated like hardened drug dealing criminals.
