GWAR's Oderus Urungus vs. HELLYEAH

GWAR front-thing Oderus Urungus has become the voice of the voiceless, saying everything that many metalheads are thinking. A few weeks ago, the entire internet collectively applauded when he told Dave Mustaine he needs to shut the fuck up. Now, Oderus has turned his gills onto another band, HELLYEAH, with a recent rant at a live show.

Video of Oderus talking shit surfaced online earlier today, but as of this writing, the video has gone private (it can actually be seen here). Thankfully, our friends at Metal Insider managed to transcribe his comments before the video was taken down:

“How about that new Hellyeah record? Pretty good, huh? What a great name for a band, HELLYEAH. That’s so awesome. How do those fat, stupid dudes from texas ever come up with something so awesome? I want to know how that dumb ass, ignorant, inbred fucks ever come up with such an amazing idea as HELLYEAH. WOW! Stephen Hawking, move over!”

The news of Oderus' shit talking got back to Hellyeah, who tweeted the following:

“We”d like to thank Gwar”s lead singer for talking shit about us at one of their shows. Classy guy…yay you! #hellyeah”

My buddy Axl Rosenberg of MetalSucks put this all in perspective by asking "Did Hellyeah, the band with songs called ”Pole Rider” and ”Alcohaulin’ Ass,” just take someone to task for lacking class?" You've got a point, Axl! Of course, Oderus is not one to keep quiet, and responsed to their response on his Twitter page:

“I didn’t talk shit about #HellYeah. I just really hate their music. My opinion.”

So it was just Oderus talking shit on stage, and thanks to the power of the internet, it got back to the people he shat on. Thanks, internet!
