EX DEO (KATAKLYSM) Is Back From Being On Hiatus

People of Rome! Your band has returned!

People of Rome! Your band has returned!

In February 2014, Ex Deo claimed it was taking an "indefinite leave of absence." There was a whole big long-winded post about the hiatus and that was that. Now, a whopping 19 months later, Ex Deo has risen from the grave! Not that we're complaining or anything- Ex Deo totally covered its collective ass by throwing in "indefinitely" in there, and we'll take all the good metal we can get!

We are breathing again …brace yourselves , people of Rome #ExDeo #TheRoman #MMXVIII

For those unaware, Ex Deo consists of Kataklysm vocalist Maurizio Iacono, guitarists Jean-François Dagenais and Stéphane Barbe, ex-drummer Max Duhamel and Ashes Of Eden bassist Dano Apekian. At least as far as we know that's who is currently in the band. No word on if there's been any kind of lineup changes during the hiatus.

I'm also left wondering why the hashtag #MMXVIII is thrown in there. 2018 is a long way away to have anything planned, isn't it?
