EMMURE's Frankie Palmeri Apologizes For Being "Moronic Douche," Says He's Grown As A Person
Last year, all the members of Emmure except for Frankie Palmeri quit the band, making quite a statement as to what they thought of the frontman. We've been heavily critical of Palmeri in the past, especially when he thought it was a good idea to release a line of clothing glorifying school shooters, and his penchant for dropping F bombs. But Palmeri may have turned a new leaf. Palmeri said at the time that he already has a new band writing and recording the next Emmure record, but has kept relatively quiet since.
Perhaps Palmeri has had some time for introspection, because in a recent interview with Rock Sound, he apologized for some of his behavior in the past:
"Over the years, specifically the last decade, I have done a pretty good job at painting myself as an egotistical, psychotic, moronic douche. I did and said a lot of stupid shit.
"A good portion of it which I look back in with embarrassment and regret. I have grown so much as person and I like to think there is still chance for people to understand that everyone grows differently and at their own pace. I am still growing but, I am not the person people have made me out to be.
"I look forward to reconnecting with all the fans who have stuck with Emmure through the years and just over all excited about the future."
It will be interesting to see Frankie's behavior on the press tour for his eventual release of new Emmure music. It should be coming this summer, as the band is starting to book some dates.
For now, let's recall this classic awkward interview with me and my bud, Frankie.
