Bloody Brawl Ensues During DROPKICK MURPHYS' St. Patrick's Day Show

What kind of St. Patrick's Day celebration would it be without a little blood?

What's a St. Patrick's Day celebration without a little blood? Dropkick Murphys kicked off the St. Patty's weekend with a bit of blood during their annual Boston show.

The event happened at the House of Blues. As is typical affair for these type of shows, bassist/singer Ken Casey handed a fan his mic. The fan refused to give the mic back, so a tussle ensued. Video footage shows that some blood had been shed.

TMZ reports that even after it was broken up, Casey dove back into the crowd and continued the scuffle with the fan. Eventually, the fan was escorted out and the show continued.

Here is the footage:

“So, we’ve been doing this for a number of years,” frontman Al Barr said to the crowd, “and having been here for 21 of those years, this is not new. I haven’t seen the old man bleed, but this not new. See, when we invite you guys to come to one of our shows, it’s like we’re saying, ‘Come to our house,’ and when someone disrespects us, it’s like you’re disrespecting us in our own house. This is our house!”
