Chimaira have posted up their IndieGoGo campaign for their upcoming album Crown of Phantoms due out on July 30. Excited much?

Before you go crying to the comments section about how stupid and rampant these campaigns are, hear me out. It makes perfect sense for the bands to be running crowd funding campaigns because this way the money you pay for the record (the money you'd be paying anyway) directly funds the band's endeavors without any middleman at all. You want to support your favorite group? Then here's the absolute best way possible of doing so. On top of that, you're getting some pretty damn sweet perks depending on how much you want to help! I'm especially loving Chimaira's benefits. At first I was a little wary about donating fifteen bucks for the album alone, but it's an album and seven extra tracks… so in reality, you're getting an album and another full-length for the price of $7.50 each. How the hell did you lose on that one? Go look through their other benefits and decide how much you're willing to shell out, because they're certainly making it worth your money. I'd personally go for the $200 perk of getting into every show free for the rest of forever.
