KORN Just Cancelled Most of Their May Tour Dates

Well, this came out of nowhere. It looks like Korn won't be playing the majority of their previously scheduled tour dates in May. In fact, all but three dates are cancelled.

Korn will still play Carolina Rebellion on May 6th, Pointfest on May 13th and Rock On The Range on May 20th. The band released a very vague statement about the situation:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be rescheduling a majority of our May tour dates. We will still be performing at Carolina Rebellion on May 6th, Pointfest on May 13th and Rock On The Range on May 20th. All tickets will be honored, or refunded at the point of purchase. Stay tuned for more information regarding rescheduling the dates.”

The following dates are now effectively cancelled:

5/7 Silver Spring, MD The Fillmore++
5/9 Huntington, NY The Paramount#
5/10 Pittsburgh, PA Stage AE#
5/11 Grand Rapids, MI 20 Monroe Live#
5/14 Kansas City, MO Uptown Theater++
5/16 Memphis, TN Minglewood Hall#
5/17 Nashville, TN Nashville Municipal Auditorium#
5/18 Atlanta, GA The Tabernacle#\

The band recently had Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo's son Tye fill in on bass for Fieldy, due to some personal matters, but no word on if that is in any way related to these cancellations. The kid did a great job by the way.
