IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson Flew A Hurt, Endangered Turtle Back Home

It's a bird! It's a plane! Oh, it's actually a plane.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Oh, it's actually a plane.

Bruce Dickinson is a pretty well-established pilot at this point in his life, as well as a well-established superhero. This time, Captain Dickinson saw that there was an endangered turtle named Terri that needed to get back to the Canary Islands, by way of a crowdfunding project, and took it upon himself to offer to fly the turtle.

So says The Olive Press in their report.

His generous offer came after a crowdfunding campaign raised €8,000 to rescue the reptile and fly her to Spain, where a sanctuary had offered to care for her.

She has now been flown to Gran Canaria from the New Era Veterinary Hospital, via Guernsey company Aeris Aviation, using Dickinson’s plane.

It's a joke that Dickinson is a superhero obviously, but the guy kind of is. Next week I'm sure he'll one up himself as well, so well be sure to tell you all about that.
