Vocalist of Joey Jordison's SCAR THE MARTYR Quits Due To "Personal Differences"
Whoa, that was quick. After over a year of existance, frontman Henry Bonner has quit Joey Jordison's new project Scar The Martyr and it doesn't look like it was amicable.
He sent the following statement to Blabbermouth:
"I'm officially parting ways with Scar The Martyr due to personal differences, artistic direction and a slew of business decisions that I cannot simply ignore. I've given it a year of my life and now it's time to move on. Many thanks to all of the fans and friends that have shown their support. Furthermore, I will continue making music in many forms as well as pursuing a new band with King (God Seed) and Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle). My very best wishes to Scar The Martyr and their future success."
I'm not sure how sincere that last sentence is. No word from the band on replacements.
The last time we heard from Joey Joridson, he let fans know he did not quit Slipknot. With all the free time, one has to assume he focused his efforts on this project.
I interviewed Henry and Joey when their album was just coming out last year:
