MARILYN MANSON Drummer Gil Sharone Quits The Band

Well, Marilyn Manson is going to need to do some auditioning before his big Twins of Evil 2 tour with Rob Zombie. That's because his drummer since 2013, Gil Sharone, has left the band.

Gil posted a statement to social media that it was time for him to move on. Here's what he wrote:

"After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I've decided to leave the band. It's been one of the highlights of my career but it's time for me to pursue other current and future projects. Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It's been a blast."

Gil performed on the band's last two records, The Pale Emperor and Heaven Upside Down. Gil's other projects include Stolen Babies and Team Sleep (a collaboration with Deftones' Chino Moreno, among others.)

Manson has until July to find a replacement. Here are his upcoming tour dates with Rob zombie:
