Everything was going so well in the last year for Decapitated, or so we thought. The band came back with a vengance after the tragic bus accident that resulted in loss of their drummer Vitek, and then-frontman Covan to suffer huge life-affecting injuries a few years back. Vogg, the sole remaining member, persevered, got new musicians and seeing the new lineup absolutely melted my face off. They are one of the most exciting bands to see live, but now, they are in the market for a new drummer. Late last week, drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner issued the following statement on his departure:
“I sadly have to inform you about some major change that happened in the last months. I am no longer a member of Decapitated! Too many personal differences and other difficulties made me decide like this.
I appreciate the good times we had together and what we could achieve in more than 2 and a half years. Even if our ways are dividing, I wish the band to keep going. However, it’s time for me to move on. I don’t know what will be next but I would like to stay in this business.
I love to write and play music for you guys. This is my life and this is what I want to continue.”
According to ThePRP, it's rumored that former Vader drummer Pawel Jaroszewicz will be stepping behind the kit for the Polish death metal outfit.
