Baroness, who are currently on tour in England were victims of a bus crash earlier today. According to this BBC report, the incident happened around 11:30am local time in Brassknocker Hill. The bus was driving to a gig in Southampton when it fell off 30 feet off a viaduct. Two passangers were trapped and injured, but have since been freed by firefighters. All nine people aboard the bus have been taken to the local hospital.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. No names were released as to who was injured. We'll have more on this story as it develops. Our best wishes are with Baroness and their crew.
Update 11:30pm EST: Baroness's label just issued the following statement:
Baroness have been involved in a motor coach accident in the Bath area of England.
All band members and personnel on board are currently receiving medical treatment.The band had performed in Bristol last night and were traveling to Southampton for a performance at Talking Heads this evening.
All remaining dates on the band's European tour have been canceled. Additional details to come as more information is available.
Update: The band released this statement citing all of the injuries sustained in the horrific crash.
