Tool's first new album in 13 years Fear Inoculum has been a wild ride in terms of what it has been achieving. Even before the album came out it was breaking records, and just recently it dethroned Taylor Swift for the #1 spot on Billboard (and other countries). Despite all these achievements, Fear Inoculum is not yet done blowing everyone's minds.
Fear Inoculum consists of 10 songs, three of which are ambient interludes and one of which is a drum solo. All 10 of these tracks, regardless of what they consist of, are now sitting in the top 25 of Billboard's Top Rock Songs chart. Yes, pieces like "Legion Inoculant" and "Mockingbeat" are more popular than full-on compositions from other artists right now. The highest ranking track right now is the title track, which was also the band's first single.
