GUNS N' ROSES' Reunion Tour Is Now The Fourth Highest-Earning Tour Ever

Guns N' Roses are doing just fine financially.

Guns N' Roses are doing just fine financially.

Guns N' Roses began their Not In This Lifetime Tour on April 8, 2016 and has continuously been announcing new legs of the trek worldwide ever since. The tour is the first time vocalist Axl Rose, bassist Duff McKagan, and guitarist Slash have been on stage together since the mid-90's. This is made all the more special by the fact that Rose and Slash said this would never happen for quite some time… hence the tour name.

We've looked at the numbers before and they are absurd, more money than any of us will ever see in our lifetimes. Now according to Billboard, the tour is officially the fourth highest gross tour that has ever taken place. Not In This Lifetime has performed 123 headlining shows to 4.3 million fans, and has grossed $475 million over its course. Billboard says the tour just surpassed Roger Waters' The Wall Live, which grossed $459 million between 2010 and 2013. The top four are as follows.

  1. U2's 360° Tour –$736 million grossed between 2009 and 2011.
  2. The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour – $558 million grossed between 2005 and 2007.
  3. Coldplay's A Head Full of Dreams Tour – $523 million grossed between 2016 and 2017.

Not In This Lifetime is still going, which means it could absolutely top Coldplay and The Rolling Stones. Also, in terms of impressive numbers, Coldplay's tour is ridiculous. Dudes racked up that much money in one year, whereas it took the other artists at the top between three and four years.
