Cough is a fantastic sludge metal band that unfortunately disappeared between the years of 2010 and 2016, though there was a split with Windhand that contained one 18-minute long Cough track. Not quite enough to hold everyone over, but a song that was basically its own EP was better than nothing.
Now the group is making its re-presence well known with a new record called Still They Pray out this Friday via Relapse Records. The album was produced by Electric Wizard's Jus Oborn and recorded by Oborn and Windhand's Garrett Morris, and it sure as hell sounds like those two had their hands in the making of this.
