SNAILKING Brings The Two-Ton Heavy, Entrancing Doom Metal On A New Track "Premonitions"

This ain't your dad's doom.

This ain't your dad's doom.

It's no secret I'm a big fan of Sweden's Snailking, as I gave their 2012 debut record Samsara a really positive review and have been pretty consistently listening to it ever since. Basically I'm just going to keep pushing the band in your face until you inevitably love them. Now, after two years, they're back with a new record titled Storm that will be out September 15. Get ready to get excited about Storm with the band's first single "Premonitions," which you can stream below!

The thing I adore about Snailking is they utilize all the hallmarks of the classic doom/sludge sound, but with a lot of circling effects on instruments that seem to hypnotize the listener into being completely unable to turn the music off. Though why would you? Storm also seems to take a much more lo-fi approach to their sound, which is interesting and took me a few listens to get used to… but still. Awesome nonetheless!
