THE RED CHORD Guitarist Mike McKenzie Launches New Label, Orchestral Project

Posted by on October 9, 2019 at 10:04 am

Guitarist Mike McKenzie of bands The Red Chord, Stomach Earth, Nightkin, and Wear Your Wounds, has launched his own record label. The label is called Nighted Throne and is an imprint of Deathwish Inc. records. Alongside this announcement comes McKenzie's new solo album Resplendent Host, which is much more orchestral and ambient than the aforementioned bands.

Nighted Throne is a record label founded by Mike McKenzie under the wing of Deathwish Inc. The label exists to serve the musical works of McKenzie and adjacent.

Resplendent Host is the first proper release for the label. Featuring cover art by Dáire Lynch, the release is a multi-layered experience that incorporates post-rock, orchestral, and avante-garde approaches to music. Often times playing as a powerful score to an imaginary epic. Listen to the title track now on all streaming services, while the full release will be available everywhere November 1st.

Check out Nighted Throne's website here.
