The New AZUSA (EXTOL, Ex-DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) Track "Heavy Yoke" Is Jarring, Occasionally Calm

It's members of Extol and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Of course it's good.

Azusa, the band featuring Extol guitarist Christer Espevoll and drummer David Husvik, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan bassist Liam Wilson, and Sea + Air vocalist Eleni Zafiriadou just dropped the title track from their coming record Heavy Yoke and it's basically perfect progressive metal. The verses are just the right amount of insane to where anyone can follow them with some effort, the choruses are pretty catchy but still weird, and the whole song has a slightly jarring flow to it. So yeah – very much in the vein of Extol and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Azusa will release their new album Heavy Yoke on November 16 and you can pre-order it here.
