Their first new music since the bus accident.

Nearly six years ago, The Ghost Inside was involved in a fatal bus crash that killed two drivers and severely injured the band to the point where they're still undergoing treatments and surgeries as a result. The Ghost Inside has slowly been forging a comeback over the years, began holding band practice again in 2018, and even played a comeback show in 2019. That same year, The Ghost Inside announced they were recording their first new album since 2014's Dear Youth.

Now, and with all the hope and optimism the world needs, The Ghost Inside is streaming their comeback track "Aftermath." The band adds "Aftermath" is "is a tribute to the community that supported us, stood by us, and raised us from the ashes. The album is proof positive that the strong survive and the beat does go on."

“We went into the writing process knowing full well that every song and every lyric would be influenced by what we’ve been through, but we tried our best for them to be relatable to everyone," said bassist Jim Riley. "With 'Aftermath' we let it be much more personal – this one is us telling OUR story. So when it was time to choose a first song to share with the world, it felt right for it to be 'Aftermath'. It allows anyone that listens into our world, but it also lets us put final punctuation on that chapter of our lives. 'Aftermath' is a total catharsis for us. We let it all out in the song so that it’s not bottled up inside us anymore and we can heal and move on, since after all, the beat goes on.”

"Aftermath" is off the band's self-titled album out June 5. The Ghost Inside was recorded with producer Will Putney (Every Time I Die, Fit For An Autopsy, Knocked Loose) and A Day To Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon.
