Melodic death metal done right is just straight up magic, which means Iapetus straight up magicians. I'm not one to say no to magic, so of course I had to premiere the band's soaring new single "For Creatures Such As We." The single is off Iapetus' new record The Body Cosmic due out November 9, the entirety of which features Ne Obliviscaris drummer Dan Presland.
The Body Cosmic was recorded by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, Scale The Summit), mixed by Linus Corneliusson (Amorphis, Dark Tranquillity, Eluveitie, Ihsahn), mastered by Tony Lindgren (Opeth, Katatonia, Leprous, Swallow The Sun), and features additional vocals from Emi Pellegrino.
