Mastodon is now streaming a super groovy, off-kilter new single "Sickle And Peace." The band turns down the distortion for this one and really leans into that Cold Dark Place-type of rhythm-focused rock, and to great effect. Especially when the doomier aspects kick in!
"Sickle And Peace" is off Mastodon's coming double album Hushed And Grim, due out October 29. Hushed And Grim is 15 tracks spread across 86 minutes of music, and was produced by David Bottrill (Tool, Dream Theater, etc.). Hushed And Grim is available for pre-order here.
Mastodon will hit the road this November with Opeth and Zeal & Ardor.
