As Slayer fade into the past, new bands rise to take their place. Lonescar is one such band, hoping to fill the huge Slayer void in the metal world. These Texas thrashers unleash hell on their new record Lust For The End.
The thrash metal annihilation they bring on their latest single, 'Images From Mauthausen' is indicative of the level of violence the band routinely conjure up. With angular Jeff Hanneman-esque guitars and a scream reminiscent of Chuck Billy, Lonescar deal in thrash tropes with a heavier edge. There are even moments where 90s industrial ideas poke their head through the sound.
Lonescar are one-of-a-kind with a distinct vision to match. With music that will kick up the pit, what's not to love? The band had this to say:
"This track is a good representation of the aggressive aspect of our sound on “Lust for the End.” The album is sonically dynamic, multifaceted, but most importantly, fucking fun."
